This SG Supreme features a plain maple top on a mahogany body. The SG Supreme has no pickguard, which gives it a sleek and modern appearance. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaperā¢ profile and is equipped with an ebony fretboard with a 10ā-16ā compound radius for both easy bends and first-position chording, 24 medium jumbo frets for extended range, and Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays. The headstock is adorned with a striking new mother-of-pearl āChandelier Inlayā inspired by a design from the 1940s that was discovered in the Gibson archives. Locking GroverĀ® tuners with Keystone buttons work in tandem with the Graph TechĀ® nut to keep the tuning rock solid, while the aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Maticā¢ bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece provide precise intonation and exceptional sustain.Ā
The SG Supremeās Burstbuckerā¢ Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups are paired with push/pull volume controls for coil tapping, along with individual tone controls.
